Looking at the clock, I saw that it was three in the morning. I woke up irritated by the way my sweaty gown was clinging to me. It wasnât hot so I was confused about what the hell was going on. Standing up, I slipped my gown off then walked over to my dresser to grab something else to sleep in. The moans Phyer was making in his sleep had me staring at him to see if I needed to wake him up. It wasnât scary sounds but more of him groaning as if something were hurting him.
Tossing the oversized T-shirt over my head, I walked over to him. When I placed my hand on his back to wake him, he was soaking wet from sweating but still shivering.
âCrimson⦠Crimson. Are you feeling ok?â
His eyes slowly came open, looking into mine. âIâm fineââ
âBaaaabe, daaamn! You couldnât make it to the bathroom?â I whined as he continued to throw up on my feet. Once he was able to stop, his naked body jumped out of bed and headed toward the bathroom. âFuck!â I shook the vomit off my feet as much as I could.
Grabbing a towel out of the closet in the bathroom, I wet it and started dapping his forehead to cool him down some. I turned the shower water on so that we could clean ourselves up.
âIâm sorry about that. Usually, I can feel when Iâm about to do that shit but I donât know what happened this time.â
âDonât worry. Iâll clean up the floor.â Leaning down, I locked my arms under his to lift him from the cold bathroom floor. I flushed the toilet once I got him standing against the wall. He looked so weak and drained of fluid, and energy
âThank you.â
âYouâre welcome, get in.â I pulled the shower curtain back some more.
As he stood under the slightly cool water, I washed him up several times before washing myself. Paying close attention to my damn feet. I stepped out first then helped him get out. Drying him off, I adjusted and tied the towel around his waist before walking with him to the bed. He sat on the edge. Looking as if he were trying to regain his pull himself together.
âI told you this could get ugly.â
âAnd I told you not to worry about it, I got you.â Moving closer to him, I gripped him by his chin to lift his head up to look at me. âThis wasnât something that I couldnât handle. I promise we will get through this, one day at a time together. Lay down, Iâm about to clean up my floor and scrub this rug before the scent sets in.â
Turning away from him, I headed to the kitchen to get my mop bucket. âSpark.â
âYes?â I answered, looking back at him.
âI still love you.â
âI know. I still love you too and a lilâ throw up wonât change that.â
We spent the rest of the night in bed watching movies. Well, I watched the movies, and him.
